Huskers pour on points at end of each half to crush Indiana in Big Ten tourney

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska knocked off Indiana in convincing fashion Friday night to advance in the Big Ten tournament.
The No. 3 seed Huskers defeated the No. 6 Hoosiers 93-66 in Minneapolis.
Nebraska shot 50% from the field and held Indiana to 35%.
The Huskers had an edge from the start but went on a tear with less than three minutes before halftime.
They scored 17 unanswered points to end the half. That included three 3-pointers from Keisei Tominaga and one each from Jamarques Lawrence and Juwan Gary.
Nebraska went into the locker room with a 50-27 lead.
Indiana couldn’t catch up in the second half, and in the closing minutes, the Huskers were on another hot streak.
Their lead grew as large as 33 with 3½ minutes left.
Several players came off the bench to help, including Jarron Coleman and Cale Jacobsen, who sunk a 3-pointer.
Tominaga and Brice Williams led NU with 23 points apiece.
Lawrence scored 15, and Gary added 11.
Nebraska will play Illinois on Saturday in the semifinals of the tournament.
That game is expected to start about 2:30 p.m. on CBS.
