Huskers put six-game skid in rearview mirror with back-to-back ranked wins

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska men’s basketball team got another Quad 1 win Sunday night, taking down No. 16 Oregon 77-71 at Knight Arena in Eugene.
This marks Nebraska’s fourth win over a ranked opponet this season, tying the highest total in program history.
Nebraska was clutch from the free throw line down the stretch, scoring its last 11 points from the charity stripe to put the Ducks away.
The Huskers out-shot the Ducks from the floor, shooting 51% compared to Oregon’s 40%.
Nebraska struggled from behind the arc, shooting only 17%, but scored 34 points in the paint and racked up 24 fast break points to make up the deficit.
The Huskers were led by their leading scorer in Brice Williams, racking up 28 points on 10-for-18 shooting.
Juwan Gary also had a solid night from the floor, scoring 23 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Gary also went 10-for-12 from the free throw line.
Rollie Worster shot 100% from the floor and racked up 11 points to round out Nebraska’s double-digit scorers.
Berke Buyuktuncel led Nebraska in rebounds with nine, while Williams dished out a team-high six assists.
Oregon was led by Jackson Shelstad with 16 points, while Brandon Angel followed close behind with 15 points.
Nebraska will stay out on the west coast and head to Seattle to take on Washington on Wednesday.
