Huskers ranked No. 2 in AVCA volleyball preseason poll

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska volleyball team checked in at No. 2 in the AVCA Preseason poll on Monday morning.
The Huskers received 15 first-place votes while tallying 1,474 total points in the poll.

Texas will start the season ranked No. 1 with 46 first-place votes and 1,503 total points in the poll.
Wisconsin came in right behind the Huskers at No. 3 with 1,391 points. The Badgers didn’t receive any first-place votes.
Penn State (No. 7), Purdue (No. 8) and Oregon (No. 10) are the other Big Ten schools ranked in the top 10.
Minnesota (No. 18) and USC (No. 21) round out the Big Ten teams in the top 25.

Ohio State and Indiana also received votes to be in the top 25.
Creighton landed at No. 12 with 811 votes.
