Huskers swamp Seahawks in a 73-point victory

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Jaz Shelley led the Nebraska women’s basketball team Tuesday night in a beatdown of UNC Wilmington.
The Huskers won 108-35, their largest Division I victory ever.
Nebraska shot a season-best 58.1% from the field and a season-best 45.7% from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, the defense held the Seahawks to 23% shooting.
Shelley recorded a triple-double, with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
Junior Alexis Markowski had a double-double, with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Five more Huskers scored in double figures: Logan Nissley (18), Natalie Potts (11), Darian White (11), Jessica Petrie (11) and Callin Hake (10).
Nebraska starts the Big Ten season on Saturday with a game at Michigan State. The game will air on the Big Ten Network.
