Huskers sweep Illinois, advance to Regional Final

No. 10 Nebraska swept the Illini for the third time this season to advance to the Regional Final against No. 2 Texas.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No. 10 Nebraska swept the Illini for the third time this season (25-12, 25-21, 25-17) to advance to the Regional Final against No. 2 Texas.

The Huskers were led by Kayla Caffey who had 11 kills and a .529 hitting percentage with 5 blocks. Madi Kubik also recorded 11 kills.

Nickin Hames had 33 assists and 10 digs. Kenzie Knuckles and Lauren Stivrins each served up 3 aces. Nebraska hit .260 as a team.

This is the 10th straight regional final appearance for Nebraska. They take on No. 2 Texas on Saturday night at 9:23 CT on ESPNU
