Huskers sweep the Terrapins, remain unbeaten at 12-0

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No. 1 Nebraska volleyball picked up their third straight sweep Saturday, defeating Maryland 25-14, 27-25, 25-14.
Rebekah Allick recorded a career high 13 kills, Harper Murray had 10 digs, and 10 kills. Andi Jackson also notched 9 kills.
The team hit .360, and totaled 11 blocks. It seems as if the Big Red are getting better each match, and there could be a reason for it. Both Andi Jackson, and Rebekah Allick talked post game about how they did their research on the Terrapins, and it paid off.
“For Maryland, we just abused the solo block,” Allick said. Andi Jackson said she wanted to take advantage of the one on ones. “We wanted to get in those gaps, because it was almost a guaranteed one-on-one which makes it a lot easier,” Jackson said.
“Kudos to our setters for hitting the ball so well.”
Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly says as the season progresses, they’re gaining more information about each team they face. According to her, it’s become helpful.
“Beginning of the season, you don’t have really any film. You have very little,” Busboom Kelly said. “Now that there’s four, five weeks of film, you can have a better game plan.”
No. 1 Nebraska will face Penn State on the road next Friday, then will play at Rutgers Saturday.
