Huskers top Boise State, advance to final of Las Vegas Crown tournament
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska men’s basketball team continued its dominance in Las Vegas on Saturday, beating Boise State 79-69 to advance to the championship game of the College Basketball Crown Tournament.

The Broncos built a 7-point lead more than halfway through the first half before the Huskers got on a roll offensively.
From that point, the Huskers went on a 19-7 run to end the first half and never looked back. Nebraska led the rest of the way to ink its spot in the championship game.
As a team, the Huskers shot 46% from the floor compared to Boise State’s 40%. Nebraska was dialed in from deep, shooting 63% from beyond the arc.
Juwan Gary led the Huskers with 21 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Gary went a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the 3-point line and also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Brice Williams racked up 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting, while Sam Hoiberg scored 10 points on 3-for-6 shooting. Williams also dished out a team-high six assists.
The Broncos were led by Tyson Degenhart with 26 points, while Andrew Meadow racked up 14 points.
Degenhart grabbed eight boards, while Alvaro Cardenas had nine assists.
With the loss, Boise State secured $50,000 in NIL prize money.
The Huskers are now guaranteed to get a big share of the NIL prize money pot. The runner-up in the tournament will take home $100,000, while the champion takes home $300,000.
Nebraska will play its final game of the season on Sunday against the winner of UCF and Villanova for the college basketball crown.
Tipoff for that game is set for 4:30 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena.
