Hy-Vee, Pinky Swear Foundation raise over $219,000 for children with cancer

Hy-Vee says $219,000 was raised between their 285 stores.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Hy-Vee teamed up with the Pinky Swear Foundation to raise more than $219,000 for children with cancer and their families across 285 stores.

The Pinky Swear Foundation is a national charitable organization that supports children with cancer and their families.

The Hy-Vee Pinky Swear Register Roundup lasted from Nov. 29-Dec. 12 and allowed customers to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate another amount.

Hy-Vee says the money raised for families will provide assistance for basic needs and pay for non-medical expenses like mortgage and rent.

“Our annual round-up campaign for Pinky Swear Foundation this year was a true success, raising more money for the organization than ever before,” said Tina Potthoff, senior vice president of communications.

Hy-Vee has partnered with Pinky Swear Foundation for six years and raised more than $3.3 million to help children with cancer and their families.
