I-80 in Nebraska reopens, but officials ask drivers to use ‘extreme caution’
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Interstate 80 was reopened Tuesday afternoon amid winter conditions across Nebraska.
Both directions of I-80 between Grand Island and Ogallala were shut down for several hours due to snow and ice.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation said drivers should still use “extreme caution” and adjust their speeds on I-80.

I-80 is now OPEN in BOTH eastbound and westbound directions. Exercise extreme caution and adjust your driving speed accordingly.

The Nebraska State Patrol said troopers responded to “well over” 200 weather-related incidents since the start of the storm.
