‘I would be in prison’: Drug court in Lancaster County offers a second chance
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three men graduated from the Lancaster County Adult Drug Court on Monday night at the University of Nebraska College of Law.
They were facing serious charges but were offered the opportunity to avoid prison if they completed the program.
“If it wasn’t for drug court, I would be in prison right now in the dinner line,” said Sergei, one of the graduates.
This program took the three men between 19 and 22 months to complete, with over 800 drug tests during that time span.
