New Hampshire woman shot to death in her home, police say

DANVILLE, N.H. (WLNE) — New Hampshire authorities told WCVB Channel 5 that a Danville woman was shot to death inside of her home and the search for her killer is ongoing.

Authorities identified the victim as 59-year-old Denise Damato Coe, on Saturday.

The shooting happened late Thursday night at 48 Back Road in Danville. Responding police officers found Coe dead inside the home.

An autopsy conducted by the state’s chief medical examiner determined the cause of Coe’s death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of her death was ruled a homicide.

“If you’ve seen the area, you know it’s a very rural spot,” said Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati. “We are going from door to door asking everyone what they’ve heard and when they’ve heard anything.”

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit at 603-223-3856 or send an email to MCU@dos.nh.gov. People can also call the NHSP Headquarters communications office at 603-223-4381.
