West Warwick sprinter runs against the country’s elite

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WLNE) — A West Warwick High School sophomore sprinter just proved that she can run with the best of them.

Lisa Raye of West Warwick competed in the 60 meter dash against the best runners in the country at the Millrose Games in New York City.

She finished in fourth place behind competitors who had committed to elite universities and ahead of runners who have also committed.

Lisa broke and set her own 60 meter record with a 7.39 dash.

Lisa is also a state and National Champion sprinter.
