IBEW monthly breakfast for electrician retirees

Retired electricians in Lincoln are using breakfast to stay connected.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers organize a hot breakfast every third Thursday of the month for its retirees.

For some, it’s the only time they see their past coworkers.

“We don’t see each other except at something like this, it gives us an opportunity to exchange stories from today and years ago,” retired electrician David Rigg said.

The breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. at the IBEW Local 265 in Lincoln.
