Ice fishing clinics in Lincoln and Kearney

If you’re interested in learning more about ice fishing, you can attend one of three free clinics in January.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has two workshops that will be held on ice.

The third workshop will be held in a classroom.

The first event is Jan. 12th at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake (weather permitting).

The second outdoor event is January 20th at Fort Kearney State Recreation Area’s Lake No. 6 near Kearney.

The third classroom event is January 19th at Yanney Heritage Park’s Environmental Resource Center in Kearney from 1-5 p.m. on January 19th.

The workshops will cover the basics of ice fishing, while also providing tips from experienced anglers.
