‘I’m just excited for a change’: Husker fans voice enthusiasm over new offensive coordinator

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Husker fans are excited about the new promotion for the football team’s offensive coordinator role, Dana Holgorsen.

They’re hoping the fresh perspective will lead the team to bowl eligibility for the first time since 2016.

Marcus Satterfield, who Rhule had tasked with leading the Huskers’ offense when he was hired two years ago, will stay on the staff as a tight end coach.

Husker fan, Ben Orozco hopes Holgorsen’s scheme will throw off Nebraska’s opponents in the coming weeks.

“I feel like his play-calling for the Huskers, obviously isn’t on tape,” he said. “I felt like Satterfield was kind of predictable with the screen passes and the runs, so I feel like this kind of gives a new dynamic for the offense.”

Another Husker fan, Michael Henderson, is looking forward to seeing Nebraska’s offensive weapons become even more of a factor.

“Definitely got to feed Jacory Barney,” Henderson said. “The jet sweeps are just unstoppable. I think that’s just what we got to do.”

Husker fan Evan Scott said after the loss to UCLA, it was time for the Huskers to switch things up.

“I’m glad Satterfield is out of there,” he said. “We need to mix it up a little bit and I’m just excited for a change.”

Nebraska (5-4) has three more chances to secure bowl eligibility with games against USC, Wisconsin and Iowa.
