There are about 7,700 early ballots and 220 provisional ballots left to count, according to the Lancaster County Election Commission.

Shobe’s 2,812-vote lead over Parker is not insurmountable.

But the remaining ballots are likely to favor Shobe.

He had 10,800 votes in the early ballots counted so far, compared with 6,608 for Parker.

Former Councilman Jerry Shoecraft finished with 1bout 17,900 votes, and Maher Aurang Zeb came in last with about 7,000.

The rest of the early ballots will be counted on Friday. The provisional ballots will be tallied on May 14.
