Indiana deputies arrest Nebraska woman accused of kidnapping four kids

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana says it caught a Nebraska woman with four missing children.

Deputies say 27-year-old Danielle Cleary of Bancroft drove to Warrick County on Sunday morning.

Four boys, ranging in age between 2 and 9, were in the vehicle. They were reported missing hours before Cleary’s arrival, according to the sheriff’s office.

A camera spotted Cleary’s vehicle in the county around 4 a.m.

Deputies began searching for the vehicle and eventually stopped it. The sheriff’s office handed the children over to the Indiana Department of Child Services so they could be returned to their legal guardians.

An investigation revealed that Cleary was a non-custodial parent of the boys.

Deputies allege that she was on a supervised visit and planned to take the children to a home in Warrick County under the cover of night.

Cleary was arrested on a felony warrant out of Nebraska for violating a custody order. She is being held in Indiana while awaiting extradition.
