Inmate arrested in sexual assault at Nebraska prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska prisoner was arrested Tuesday in the sexual assault of another inmate.
Jamar Wells, 36, is accused of first-degree sexual assault and terroristic threats, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
The assault happened in October 2023 at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln, the patrol said.
Wells is currently in the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution.
He is serving a five- to nine-year sentence for third-degree assault and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
