Inmate convicted of theft missing from corrections facility in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities are searching for an inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha on Sunday.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said Dustin Debusk, 36, did not return to the facility after a “religious furlough.”

In 2022, Debusk was sentenced to up to nine years in Douglas County for theft and operation of a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.

Officials said Debusk is 5-foot-11, 210 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.

The CCC-O is one of two community custody facilities in Nebraska.  Inmates are allowed to work, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
