Inmate dies at Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An inmate at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln died Friday, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services announced.
Steven Murray, 74, was serving a life-long sentence for first-degree murder. His sentence started in May 2002.
He was also charged with two counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and terroristic threats.
While the cause of death has yet to be determined, Murray was being treated for a medical condition.
Whenever an inmate dies, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
