Interactive C-SPAN bus visits Lincoln

If you drove by the capitol Friday afternoon you may have seen a blue bus sitting out front.
The interactive, 45- foot, C–SPAN bus made its stop in Lincoln today. Shannon Augusts with the teams marketing said there is a lot offered by the bus.
“If you go to the home its the most popular thing the quiz,” Augusts said referring to the in bus displays.
As part of their interactive displays, 11 iPads allowed guests to look at videos, take quizzes and explore what happens on Capitol Hill.
Touring different states around the country, the bus is celebrating 40 years of C-SPAN. Their stop in Lincoln was brief Friday, going from 2 p.m. -5 p.m. However Augusts says the stop was well received.
“This summer we are working with folks who are civic minded. Some C–SPAN fans and are super excited to meet them to show off our new bus,” Augusts said.
In the bus there were multiple monitors so people could interact on 360 degree cameras to see presidential hearings, House of Representatives hearings and other events in Washington D.C.
Since 1993, a C-SPAN Bus has traveled across the nation visiting schools and community events in partnership with C-SPAN’s cable and satellite providers.
