LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Investigators found a slew of drugs inside a rental car in north Lincoln on Thursday, police say.

Around 5:15 p.m., investigators with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force saw a Jeep Compass near 10th and Charleston streets.

A few days prior, a police report listed the vehicle as a rental that had not been returned by its due date, according to LPD.

Investigators followed the vehicle to a parking lot near North First Street and Cornhusker Highway.

They took the driver, 34-year-old Hector Nunez, into custody and searched the vehicle, police said.

Inside, officers found 92 blue M30 fentanyl pills, over 44 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Nunez also had $500 in cash on him.

He was arrested on suspicion of felony drug charges.
