Iowa man seriously injured in rollover crash in northeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man suffered serious injuries Monday in a rollover crash in rural northeast Nebraska.

The crash happened on Highway 15 near 825th Road, just northeast of Clarkson, around 6 p.m., the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said.

A car — driven by a 21-year-old Sioux City, Iowa, man — left the road and went into a ditch.

The car hit a concrete culvert and rolled before coming to a stop on 825th Road, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.  He was later cited on suspicion of driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

Investigators think speed was a factor in the crash.  The vehicle is considered a total loss.
