Iowa women’s basketball hands Nebraska third straight loss

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska women’s basketball fell to Iowa on Monday night 81-66.

Both teams were locked in a tight battle after the first half, with the Hawkeyes holding a 38-35 lead.

But Iowa went up 14 points at the end of the third quarter and didn’t look back.

Hawkeye Lucy Olsen lit up Nebraska with a game-high 32 points.

Iowa shot 50% from behind the arc, knocking down 12 3s.

Alexis Markowski had a team-high 15 points for the Huskers, adding four rebounds.

Nebraska will be back on the hardwood Thursday against No. 17 Maryland at 5:30 p.m.
