OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN)- The marchers made it to their final destination in Omaha Sunday afternoon.

You could see the relief on walkers faces as they rounded the corner to the parking lot.

They were met with hundreds of friends and family members cheering them on.

The members walked overnight from Lincoln to Omaha to raise awareness and funds for Nebraska veterans in need.  One said she would be needing lots of ice and sleep after the long hike.

“It was hotter, the air was hotter than last year, we were throwing water at everything, we were actually taking care of people but we made it and I’m so so happy we’re finally here,” said Jessica Glas.

The walkers alone raised almost $150,000.  All of the money raised will be going to 2 organizations that help veterans get back on their feet.
