‘It’s a beautiful thing’: Husker football fans celebrate Pinstripe Bowl win
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska fans celebrated on Saturday after the Huskers won their first bowl game in nearly a decade.
The Husker faithful flocked to local bars to watch the team play against Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl in New York City.
Many fans said it was exhilarating to watch the team play in the postseason for the first time since 2016.
“It just reminds me of the days when I was a kid and national championships,” Robert Overfield said. “It’s a beautiful thing, winning today.”

“It’s good for the city, good for the fans,” he said. “I think Matt Rhule came in and did a real good job at building up the team and getting back Nebraska pride.”
Another fan, Troy Doerr, said he wants to see the team grow from this season.
“They look good today, and I think next year should look hopeful,” he said.
