‘It’s gonna be a dog fight’ Nebraska and Colorado renew rivalry Saturday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska football searches for its first win of the Matt Rhule era on Saturday as the Huskers face Colorado in Boulder.
The renewal of the rivalry game features a battle of two first-year head coaches in Rhule and Colorado’s Deion Sanders.
The Huskers are looking to rebound following their season opening loss to Big Ten West foe Minnesota on the road last Thursday night where they had the lead for most of the second half.
The Gophers won the game on a walk-off field goal 13-10, but Nebraska’s defense remained a bright spot limiting Minnesota to less than four yards per play while only allowing 55 rushing yards.
Colorado captured the college football world last Saturday with an impressive 45-42 road victory at No. 17 TCU.
First-year coach Deion Sanders debuted an explosive offense, his son, Shedeur Sanders, throwing for 510 yards and four touchdowns.
The Big Red and Buffaloes renew their rivalry with a 10 a.m. local time (11 a.m. CT) kick off at Colorado’s Folsom Field.
The game will be televised by FOX and includes coverage from its Big Noon Kickoff pregame show live from Boulder Saturday.
The Huskers Radio Network will cover the game on radio.
