Jack Hoffman to be recognized with honorary degree at UNK
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Beloved Husker fan Jack Hoffman is being recognized Friday with an honorary degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
His mom, Brianna Hoffman, is the keynote speaker for the school’s spring commencement ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

During the ceremony, Jack — who was a freshman honors student studying political science at UNK — will be recognized with the honorary degree.
Jack, 19, died earlier this year after a year-long battle with brain cancer that began when he was only 5.

Many Husker fans remember when Hoffman went on a 69-yard touchdown run during the Huskers’ spring game in 2013.
His run earned him an ESPY Award for Best Moment in Sports later that year.
