A Colorado jury found James Holmes guilty of murder in the 2012 Aurora movie theater shooting.
The jury didn't believe Holmes was insane when he shot and killed 12 people and injured 70 others. They found him guilty on all 165 counts.
The verdict came after 46 days of emotional and sometimes graphic testimony. The panel of nine women and three men spent less than two days deliberating.
The verdict was read at 5:15 p.m. (CST) in a courtroom packed with victims' family members, friends, and members of the media. The next step is sentencing, where Holmes will be given either the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
