Kearney drug dealer sentenced to five years in prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A central Nebraska woman will spend five years in prison for dealing drugs.
Jade Summers, 42, of Kearney was sentenced Friday for distribution of 5 grams or more of methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
In April 2023, Summers agreed to sell one-fourth of a pound of meth to a law enforcement informant for $1,600, authorities said.
The deal went down in Grand Island, and it was all caught on camera.
Summers sold the informant three baggies of meth weighing over 100 grams.
The largest weighed 55 grams, and lab testing showed that meth was 100% pure.
After prison, Summers will serve three years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
