Kearney man gets prison time for selling meth

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A central Nebraska man will spend a decade in federal prison for selling meth.
Shelby Olson, 46, of Kearney was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison for distributing 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine.
A confidential informant bought meth from Olson three times in the summer of 2022, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
All the meth sales were recorded on audio and video, authorities said.
The first purchase happened in a commercial vehicle, where Olson was smoking meth while driving.
After prison, Olson will serve five years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
