Kearney man killed in two-vehicle crash on rural road

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in rural Kearney County.

The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. at County Road 23 and County Road B.

The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office said a southbound Ram 2500 crashed with an eastbound Buick Lucerne at the intersection.

A passenger in the Ram, 35-year-old Salvador Alvarado Reyes, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a hospital in Kearney with serious injuries.

The Nebraska State Patrol, along with help from the sheriff’s office and Kearney County Attorney’s Office, are investigating the crash.
