KEARNEY, Neb. (KLKN) – Kearney Public Schools announced it will be taking two additional days off for teacher workdays during an already-shortened week.

Those days fall on Feb. 14 and 15.  This schedule change means students will have the entire week off, as KPS already planned to not have school Feb. 16-18.

KPS shared a Facebook post saying, “While we understand the potential challenge this schedule change places on parents, it is important for the school district to provide this extra time for teachers for planning and preparation to ease the complications associated with the pandemic.”
