Kicking off November with a warming trend
Can you believe we are now in November, and there’s only two months left to 2023?
We are coming off of one cold Halloween, but things are about to take a turn. A warm turn.
But first, here’s a look at Lincoln’s November climate and how it changes from beginning to end. The average high will drop to the middle 40s while the average low will fall to the lower 20s. And the end of Daylight Saving will result in an early sunset closing in on 5:00 p.m. by the last days of the month.
November’s first morning starts in the teens for many. There will be a chill in the air once more, but we’ll have warmer mornings in the near future. Friday morning should only bottom out in the mid 30s.
Looking at Wednesday as a whole, it’ll be a much warmer day! A warm front will move through from west to east as winds are out of the south, pushing temperatures for the lower 50s. That’s about a 15 to 20-degree difference from yesterday for about all.
It’ll be windy again through the second half of the morning through the early afternoon before winds calm. Gusts out of the southwest could be as high as 30 mph during that time.
And not only does Wednesday look warmer, but we also continue to warm the rest of the week. This weather pattern calls for upper 50s on Thursday, then 60s by Friday.
We should see more cloud cover by the end of the week into the next week, with our next chance for rain Sunday night into Monday. The track of that next system is still uncertain, so chances to see much at this time are small.
