Lancaster County auction continues until Wednesday

Lancaster county is having an auction for antique cars and other equipment no longer being used.

It’s all online, and the proceeds will go toward the county’s general fund.

“We go through the inventory and make sure if it’s something that we aren’t using, that were still selling it while it has some value so we can put the money back into our budget,” said Ron Bohaty, Road Maintenance Superintendent for Lancaster County.

The auction will remain open until Wednesday night.

The items available include vintage sheriffs vehicles, pick up trucks and much more.

In past years, similar auctions have brought in more than one hundred thousand dollars for the county budget.

“I think this is a good opportunity for the public to see that the equipment that we are getting rid of is well used up. It’s not like we’re getting rid of something that has a lot of life in it. So we try to do everything we can to really use our equipment and really use the entire equity out of it and use the public dollars wisely,” said Bohaty.
