Lancaster County election official announces series of voter registration drives

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Election Commissioner’s Office is holding a series of voter registration drives ahead of the city elections.
Election officials said the goal of the drives is to reduce the number of provisional voters. There were over 4,200 provisional ballots cast during the 2024 general election in Lancaster County.
“There are many ways to update your voter registration all of which take less time and effort than completing the forms necessary to vote provisionally,” Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen said in a press release. “Updating your voting registration will also eliminate the uncertainty about whether your vote will be counted.”
