Lancaster County engineer announces partial opening of South 98th Street
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Engineering Department on Friday announced the reopening of a southeast Lincoln road.
Portions of 98th Street from A to Van Dorn streets and from Pioneers Boulevard to Old Cheney Road are now open after a road transformation project.
The project upgraded the road from gravel to asphalt, and also included driveway construction and a concrete roundabout.
Starting in the 2025 construction season, the project will expand to the mile of road stretching between Van Dorn and Pioneers.
The $3.8 million in expenses for the project will be shared by the Federal Highway Administration, Lancaster County and the City of Lincoln.
