Lancaster County investigators following up on leads ‘daily’ in search for Tyler Goodrich
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office provided an update Wednesday in the search for Tyler Goodrich.
Law enforcement has had no solid leads since Goodrich disappeared from his rural Lincoln home on the night of Nov. 3.

Capt. John Vik said the case is still an active missing person investigation.
“Investigators are continuing to follow up on tips and leads on a daily basis,” he said. “We’re also continuing to work with family and friends to gain additional information about the case with the ultimate goal of locating Tyler Goodrich.”

At the end of last year, the sheriff’s office received an anonymous handwritten letter related to the case.
Typically, investigators can reach back out to people who submit anonymous tips online or over the phone to Crime Stoppers. But that’s not possible with a handwritten letter.
“I don’t know where it came from or how it got here,” Vik said.

The letter didn’t “necessarily” provide investigators with any additional information, Vik said, but the agency would still like to speak with the writer.
“I just want to be clear, even if we identify who the person is and have a conversation with them, it may not lead us closer to locating Tyler,” he said.
The writer and anyone else with information on Goodrich is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
“We just want to thank all of our law enforcement partners and all the friends and family who continue to work for Tyler Goodrich each and every day,” Vik said.
