Lancaster County judge authorizes extradition of Wisconsin murder suspect

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Wisconsin murder suspect who was caught after crashing his vehicle near Lincoln earlier this year is being extradited.
At a court hearing Thursday, Lancaster County District Judge Lori Maret authorized the extradition of Gavin Thompson, 23, to Wisconsin, according to court documents.
Authorities from Wisconsin will now come to Lincoln to take custody of Thompson, Lancaster County Attorney Pat Condon said.
Thompson is accused of killing 67-year-old Dorinda Segebrecht and leading Nebraska authorities on a chase that ended in a crash west of Lincoln.
He was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail after a four-hour manhunt on July 16.
Segebrecht’s body was found in the back of the car, according to authorities.
