One killed in rollover crash south of Hickman

UPDATE: According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, one person has died in a rollover crash south of Hickman early Thursday morning.
Just before midnight, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Hickman Rural Fire responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in the west ditch of South 68th Street between Stagecoach Rd to Panama Rd, just south of Hickman.
Deputies found a silver 2001 Honda on fire in the west ditch.
Initial investigation revealed the driver, 25 year-old Francisco Gonzalez, died at the scene.
Gonzalez was the only person in the vehicle.
A portion of South 68th Street was closed for a brief amount of time between Stagecoach Rd and Panama Rd as officials cleared the scene.
The crash is being investigated by the Lancaster County Crash Reconstruction team.
It is unknown at this time if safety restraints were in use. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Investigation is ongoing.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and several first responders are on the scene of what appears to be a single vehicle accident just south of Hickman.
A call of a vehicle fire went over the scanner at around 12 a.m., which prompted Hickman Fire and the Lancaster Sheriff’s Office to respond.
Scanner reports a passerby saw a car on fire and reported it to authorities.
S. 68th St. has been reduced to one lane as authorities tend to the scene.
