Last minute, step-by-step Halloween makeup

CHOOSING A NEW HALLOWEEN COSTUME YEAR AFTER YEAR CAN BE SCARY, and not to mention, expensive.

But with a few things from your makeup bag, or after a quick trip to the drug store, you can put together a quick, easy, and inexpensive Halloween makeup look!

After a week of voting, viewers chose the Scarecrow look for our reporter to create.

All you need is: black eyeliner, colorful eye shadow, mascara, and dark lipstick.

Step 1: Start with your eye shadow so you won’t smudge the rest of the look doing it later on.  You can use any colors, but it’s recommended to use reds, oranges, and golds to keep in the theme with the fall scarecrow.

Step 2: Using orange eye shadow, draw the teardrop shape on the tip of the nose, and the circles on the cheeks.

Step 3: Now it’s time to outline! Using the black eyeliner, trace the shape around the tip of your nose.  Helpful hint: it works best to start with a dot on the top and bottom of the shape to use as a guide when drawing the lines.  Then, outline the lips and draw the smile lines up the cheeks.  Add the crisscross stitching to create the sewn on effect.

Step 4: Almost done! Add some bottom eyeliner and mascara, and fill in the lips with a dark purple or black lipstick.

Now you have a completed scarecrow look, perfect for Halloween!  The best part? It takes less than 20 minutes to complete.
