Last Sunny Day Before a Cloudy And Cool Weekend
This afternoon, temperatures will reach the low to upper 60s under mostly sunny skies. A great day to get out and enjoy before thick clouds blanket the state through Monday. Tonight will be warmer with no warnings or advisories expected, due to the increasing cloud cover.
Temperatures will be a tad cooler due to some high level clouds this afternoon. One more pleasant and Fall like afternoon, before a gloomy and chilly weekend.

Friday morning, the best chance for light rain looks to mostly stay south of I-80. Rain totals won’t amount to much, up to a tenth of an inch in some spots further south.
The Huskers football game on Saturday looks to be cloudy and chilly. Early Saturday morning, a few light sprinkles could occur but nothing to worry about. Temperatures will stay in the upper 50s and lower 60s with cloudy skies and SE winds 5-15 mph. A jacket will be quite nice through the game!

However, the best chance for more widespread rain and storms arrives Monday afternoon and evening, as a more organized weather system moves through the region. This system will usher in even cooler air and breezy conditions, with highs dropping into the 50s late next week. Halloween is looking to be a bit chilly with temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
