Last Windy Day – Cold Thursday Morning
A FREEZE WATCH is in effect from late tonight through 10 AM Thursday. With clear skies and calm winds, temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s and 30s by Thursday morning. There will also be spots of dense fog and frost Thursday morning. The next few mornings will also be cold and brisk!
This afternoon, Temperatures will stay relatively consistent again in the 50s. Sunshine will be out by the afternoon with winds gradually decreasing.
Tonight, expect colder temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s under mostly clear skies and calm winds. There will also be areas of dense fog and frost Thursday morning.
Temperatures across the state will range from the 20s to 30s, with the coldest temperatures expected in areas of central Nebraska where fog does not develop.
Halloween is this Friday! Trick-or-treaters might want a jacket or warm costume, as temperatures will drop into the 40s during prime trick-or-treating hours. Late Friday night will be the coldest yet, with temperatures falling into the 20s by Saturday morning.
GO BIG RED!! Saturday evening’s kickoff is at 6:30 PM, with temperatures in the 40s to start and dropping into the 30s after the game. Northwest winds will make it feel a few degrees colder as the night goes on.
Expect a windy and chilly Wednesday across the state. Sunshine will peak out this afternoon and evening and stay out for the next 8 days! Thursday looks to be BEAUTIFUL! Temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s, calmer winds and lots of SUNSHINE! Halloween is on track to be chilly and dry. Saturday will be our chilliest day by far! A warm up is forecasted for early November with a potential system moving in near November 7-9.
