‘Law enforcement incident’ temporarily closed lane on I-80 near Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A “law enforcement incident” temporarily closed a lane on Interstate 80 near Lincoln on Wednesday morning, officials say.

At around 8 a.m., the Nebraska Department of Transportation reported the right lane closure on I-80, just south of Waverly.

Several law enforcement vehicles could be seen in traffic camera images shared by NDOT.  The closure also appeared to cause traffic to back up in the westbound lanes.

The details of the law enforcement incident are unknown at this time.

I-80 has since been reopened.
