LCSO bringing on more deputies for ‘Drug-Impaired Driving Enforcement’ campaign

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Starting Tuesday, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office will increase the number of deputies, in marked patrol vehicles, for the “Drug-Impaired Driving Enforcement” campaign.

The campaign, which will run until April 23rd, is directed at cracking down on drunk and drug-impaired drivers.

LCSO says deputies will be concentrating their efforts on traffic law violations and the detection of impaired driving violations from 10:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. throughout the campaign.

This campaign is funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
