Learning to forgive: Gateway Mall showcasing the power of forgiveness

A nationally traveling art gallery has stopped in Lincoln and is showcasing the power of forgiveness. It’s called the “F-Word Project” and is on display at Gateway Mall.
There are 18 personal stories from people from around the world who have forgiven themselves or someone else for an experience that negatively impacted their lives. The project hopes to show people that forgiveness is an important step in recovery.
“It’s individuals who have found forgiveness in the face of hatred and atrocities whether that was a personal crime against them or it was a national happening,” said Becky Sidles of Gateway Mall.
The display is next to Forever 21 and will be in Lincoln until May 16.
There’s an additional art gallery featuring work from Lincoln High School students that tell their own stories of forgiveness and healing as part of the F-Word Project. The students’ work is on display near JCPenney.
You can view both exhibits during regular mall hours.
