Lexington man sentenced for transporting more than 2 pounds of meth

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lexington man was sentenced Friday after getting caught with more than 2 pounds of methamphetamine.
Jamie Ramos-Gonzalez, 64, got 11 years and three months in federal prison with a five-year term of supervised release.
In the summer of 2023, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol identified Gonzalez as a meth dealer in the Lexington and Kearney areas.
They put a tracking device on his car, and on Sept. 20, 2023, law enforcement found Ramos-Gonzalez traveling from Kearney to Omaha.
When he returned to Kearney, investigators executed a search warrant and found 2.14 pounds of meth in the car.
