Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a massive house fire in Lincoln this morning near 29th and Potter. The fire was called in just after 4 a.m. when the house was fully engulfed in flames. LFR couldn’t get inside the house because the fire was advanced, and it took them more than an hour to get it under control.

"Right now the report is that the house was actually condemned with nobody living here," said Battalion Chief Jeremy Gegg. "However, there are reports from the neighbors that transients have frequently been staying here."

Thankfully, LFR didn’t find anyone inside. The house is a total loss, and the cause of the blaze, still under investigation.
