LFR battles dust collector fire at Lincoln manufacturing company

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A dust collection unit at a Lincoln manufacturing company caught fire early Monday morning.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to Kinney Manufacturing near 33rd Street and Cornhusker Highway around 7:30 a.m.

LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said the fire was contained to the dust collector.  It had metal shavings inside.

The fire caused $50,000 in damage.  No one was injured.
