LATEST: Lincoln Police officers broke window, pulled woman out of burning apartment

UPDATE: Three Lincoln Police officers pulled a woman out of a burning apartment Tuesday morning.
Lincoln Police said the officers were originally responding to the scene on a vandalism call, police said.
When they got on scene, they saw an apartment on fire and engulfed in smoke.
One of the occupants reported he was asleep when the fire started but was able to get out.
LPD said the man’s girlfriend was unable to get out, until the officers broke a window and were able to pull her out of the apartment.
All three officers were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, and the two residents were also transported to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
A cat was also pulled out of the apartment by fire fighters.
Officials say the fire was caused by some food left on the stove.
It caused an estimated $10,000 in structural damage and $5,000 in damage to contents.

UPDATE: Fire investigators are still working to determine what caused a fire at an apartment complex near 23rd and A Street early Tuesday morning.
LFR confirmed two people were taken to the hospital following the fire, and they are believed to have non life-threatening injuries.
Fire officials say one person got out on their own, but one resident had to be helped out of the apartment by Lincoln Police officers.
Officials say Lincoln Police were initially called to the scene on a vandalism call.
No damage estimate has been released at this time.

UPDATE: Lincoln Fire and Rescue has confirmed two people have been taken to the hospital following an early morning fire at an apartment building near 23rd and A streets. They both have non life-threatening injuries.
Authorities tell Channel 8 Eyewitness News one of those victims got out of the unit by themselves, the other was assisted by a Lincoln Police officer before fire crews arrived.
The fire was contained to the unit that it started in. All other residents in the building have been allowed to return to their homes.
LFR said the blaze was contained within 12 minutes of their arrival.
The cause of that fire is still under investigation.

Firefighters with Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to an apartment building on fire Tuesday morning at 23rd and A streets.
The initial call came in at 6 a.m. Preliminary reports indicated several people were inside the two-story building at the time.
According to the PulsePoint app, three medic units were sent to help fire crews. The Red Cross has also been called to the scene.
Scanner traffic indicated one cat was rescued from the unit that caught fire.
It’s unclear how many units were affected, and what the extent of the damage is.
